The magnificent waterfront location offers unparalleled views of the downtown Miami skyline and an endless parade of ships large and small pass through the Government Cut shipping channel, located just a few yards outside the restaurant's huge picture windows. The restaurant seats up to 600 - 450 on two floors, plus 75 in the Grill and 30 in Mrs. Wollensky's Cigar Bar. Our beautiful waterfront Cafe has a prime view of ships large and small, and you can dine or enjoy our "Deco" bar. Private dining rooms with stunning water vistas are available for groups of 20 to 300. When the first Smith & Wollensky opened on the corner of 49th Street and Third Avenue in Manhattan nearly thirty years ago, beef was the cornerstone of the restaurant's menu, concept, and reputation. Today, the quality of beef remains of paramount importance: Smith & Wollensky is the only national steakhouse that invests in dry aging and hand butchering our USDA Prime beef on premises in each restaurant across the country to ensure unparalleled quality, tender texture, and outstanding flavor. The Smith & Wollensky Restaurant Group develops, owns and operates high-end, high-volume restaurants in major cities across the United States. The original Smith & Wollensky, a traditional New York steakhouse, opened in 1977 and is currently the largest-grossing la carte restaurant in the country. Since its inception, the company has grown to include 13 restaurants, including Smith & Wollensky in Miami Beach, Chicago, Las Vegas, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia and Columbus, Ohio, New York, Houston, and Boston.
